    Time mode kills the game. It is good to have a timer but not as a kill switch. It makes it unplayable. Other then not being able to play, it is a very cool game.

    Seriously, why add a timer if there is no possible move a player can do that will increase their remaining play time? Terrible design decision on an otherwise enjoyable game.

    I agree with all the other comments here. I enjoyed the first two levels but then as they keep adding more with each level….the timer kills the game and that makes it unplayable…..which is really too bad. You are beat before you can ever get to the end b/c it is just too much to do in such little time. I think they should take the timer off or at least give the option to take it off so that the game can be enjoyed and excelled at by it’s players. Besides that it makes it stressful trying to always beat the clock/timer and living in this age ….lol…who needs any added stress???!!!

    I’ve used this game to get thru the death of my boyfriend. I use it to keep my mind sharp. That’s why I like the timer. On other play sites they give you a little more time. I have won it. It just takes time to get your speed up. Don’t quit, keep going.

    Love the game, but the time limit is too short. I have played another game with time 7+ minutes–just as challangeing but with a chance to complete the three levels.

    I love Mahjong and was initially pleased to see this new version. However, after playimg a numbe of times, I have given up, as the timer took all the fun out of it. I could get the first two levels done, but not the third one, so I will not be playing it again.

    Is there a version of this game without a timer, or at least a timer you can turn off? It is not much fun if you can’t get pasr the 3rd level without running out of time (I am not as speedy as I used to be) I find the timer just creates stress and who need that

    It is possible, Keep at it, you’ll get faster. I just beat level 3 (finally)! There are only the 3 levels. Very addictive game. The timer keeps it challenging.

    Game is great fun and once you take the time to study the cube it is not hard to get faster and actually complete the first two, the last one takes a bit of beating but it can be done. Good skills!

    At first I hated the fact that it was timed and difficult to succeed but once I got it…I love it now. You are able to win, you just have to keep at it. There is however something I don’t like and that is the fact that there are only 3 levels. Once you pass the 3 levels it should continue to more difficult levels.

    I loved this game until the recent “improvements.” I used to be able to get through all the levels on occasion, which made me want to play it more. My top score was 14200+ Now that the time is shortened by 2 minutes, the challenge is gone since I won’t be able to get through the levels. Also, moving the guides from the left to right side, and slightly moving the position of the arrow keys, not so great.

    I’m a senior, and I noticed this game is now appearing on the AAPR site. Does that have something to do with the changes? Playing this game increased eye to brain to hand processing speed. I’ll just look for a better game now.

    Because of the timer, it would be nice if after the third round, if you don’t finish, it would tell you how many cubes were left. That way you could at least try to better how many you have left.

    I DID IT!
    I found this game a couple months ago and became obsessed. It IS winnable, it just took me an obscene amount of time. If you get to level 3 with more than 3:10 on the clock, you can eventually win.

    This game was designed to be played against a timer. THAT IS THE POINT. MD has many other challenges besides just clearing all 3 levels. Clearing all 3 levels is the obvious goal, but there are other TIME RELATED goals to be reached once you learn the game. A couple of TIME RELATED challenges that aren’t obvious to people who don’t play this game regularly are: ***Being fast enough to reach the highest multiplier in each level. In level 1 if you can match all of the tiles, with no more than 2 seconds between each match, you will achieve the highest possible multiplier (for L1) which is X32. If you achieve this particular TIME RELATED challenge you can score over 20,000 just on level 1. ***Once you have cleared all 3 levels, challenge yourself to beat not only your best score, but also your best TIME left on the clock. If this game didn’t have a timer it wouldn’t even be close to the awesome game that it is. Another challenge NOT TIME RELATED is trying to try clearing all 3 levels without turning the cubes. Sorry to all you guys that don’t like the timer… I think you all need to play a few more times… maybe you’ll understand that this game is so much more than what you’re seeing it as. Good luck.

    The timers are ok but should have different levels of difficulty. I don’t like the exploding boxes when selected, its a major distraction.

    I hated the fact that this game was timed at first…but then it became addicting. I have been playing everyday for almost a week and I got to the point where i had only two tiles left before losing. In my mind that was good enough. I now I can win now. But on the other hand. this games cheats too. I know I am a good aimer. They also explode the cubes so you cant see what you’re doing. I’m used to these games cheating, but you can’t stop a real “champ”. Going to win any minute now. Keep trying…the timer is great fun.

    Been playing for about 3 weeks, and I finally won! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. At first I thought it was imossible, then I just got better with practice. Don’t give up. My score was 32,475 points. I played for speed not value points. I’m just glad to be able to post as a winner. It feels GREAT!!!

    I like the timed aspect. It provides an opportunity to challenge yourself. As you get faster, you move to the next level. I have reached level three with only a few seconds to play. It get easier with each repetition.

    I have to agree with the earlier posts about the timeout feature – fun game to play to pass the time but it does get frustrating when one finds himself working against a clock

    the other complaint is that it takes forever to load the game

    I KNEW it! There was an original Mahjong Dimensions that was NOT timed or that was timed differently. You worked your way around a snake-like area to get to the end, with each level getting harder, BUT you could do it!!! This game makes it impossible to reach the end of the games, therefor taking the fun factor out of the game! I wish someone could bring back the old game!!!

    It needs a switch to turn off the timer. It is not very relaxing to play against the clock. Some folks like the timer but others just want to play for fun.
